Middleton, WI – The SACO Conscious Kitchen, an organic product line aimed at giving back, completed its first microloan donation through Kiva. The $1,625 Kiva loan, requested by a Ugandan farmer named Peruth, was designed to provide enough food inventory to turn Peruth’s existing business into a self-sustaining food market store.
Kiva, an international nonprofit, aims to alleviate poverty through lending. Currently $1.18 billion loans have been funded through Kiva to support communities across the globe.
