Buttermilk Banana Bread

Ingredients
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 5 Tbsp SACO Cultured Buttermilk Blend
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 1 egg
  • 1¼ cups mashed banana
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease bottom only of one 9-inch loaf pan, or two 8-inch loaf pans.
  3. In large mixing bowl blend all ingredients until well-combined.
  4. DO NOT OVERBEAT.
  5. Pour into prepared pan(s).
  6. Bake 60 to 65 minutes for 9-inch pan, or 55 to 60 minutes for two 8½-inch pans, or until wooden toothpick tests done.
  7. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire racks.
